Terms of Service.

Waqt is an iOS application that calculates Islamic prayer times and indicates the direction to the Kaaba in Mecca (Qibla) using your reported location and well-established astronomical formulas. The App is offered on the Apple App Store under standard App Store terms.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Prayer times are calculated locally on your device using the open-source Adhan library, which implements widely-accepted Islamic astronomical formulas. While we strive for accuracy, calculated times depend on your reported coordinates and the calculation method you choose, and may differ slightly from the timings observed by your local mosque or imam. The App is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified scholar. Confirm with your local community where precision matters.

Waqt does not contain advertising. We commit, as a matter of principle, to never displaying third-party advertisements inside the App. We will not introduce ads in a future update.

If we ever introduce optional paid features, they will be offered transparently through Apple's In-App Purchase system and never gate the core prayer-time and Qibla functionality.

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal information to function. All settings live on your device.

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as expressly permitted by applicable law. You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

The App's design, source code, and brand marks — including the Waqt name and the W monogram — are the property of OneWahed and its licensors. The Adhan library is incorporated under the terms of its MIT license.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, religious accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneWahed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any missed prayers, missed obligations, or misdirection toward the Qibla, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and OneWahed, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, with the right to enforce them against you.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in this document with a new "Last updated" date.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
